This website is the digital archive for the practice-research PhD project Fabulative dramaturgy: reimagining the impact of Section 28 on actor training through relations of performance by the atre-maker Harry Mackrill.
The archive consists of documentation relating to a trilogy of works: Fabulations, Avuncular and Pass The Note. These works were created by and developed the methodology of fabulative dramaturgy, defined as reimagining through relations of performance.
Harry Mackrill (he/him) trained as an actor at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama following a Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies undergraduate at Roehampton University. He was Resident Director at the Tricycle Theatre (2013 – 2015), Associate Director at Kiln Theatre (2018 – 2019) and Associate Director for the National Theatre's production of Angels in America (2017). Recent direction includes: Led By the Child (The Lot); What It Means (Wilton’s Music Hall); World’s End and Boy with Beer (Kings Head Theatre). He is co-founder and dramaturg at The Lot Productions.
